Eyes of Love

Accidental Poet

From the moment I saw you

I felt the pull of love

Like a beam of light

On my heart from stars above

Entranced was I

Just a boy of ten

My eyes locked on you

Poetic words without a pen

So much to say

Were I not so shy

All I could do

Was silently sigh

Soon, I learned your name

So beautiful a sound

Like a rocket to the Moon

I was propelled to orbit around

How sweetly

I remember my school days

All because of you

When you smiled that way

I’ll forever thank

Romantic stars above

For this Heavenly gift

Eyes of love

Beautifully written!!! School crushes, an innocent love. A feeling that never fades away. Even today, if I close my eyes and think about him, I can feel the same jitters I felt then, many moons ago.

Thank you so much libra, No, those first loves never do fade away. They're always somewhere in the back of our minds and occasionally jumping to the foreground of the mind to bless us with a smile. 😊
