Farewell to Summer

Accidental Poet

Seems like just yesterday

I was basking in the Sun

Enjoying the warmth

The Summer just begun

The length of days

Long and clear

Winter nowhere in sight

Paradise in mid-year

August starts out warm

Morphs into September

As weeks pass cooling down

A Summer to remember

So long to a friend

The warm Sun I was under

Until you return, I ‘ll say

Farewell to Summer

Ah yes, the end of summer. For some it cannot have come too soon this year. Good write. Thank you.

Fine words AP, but to my mind saying goodbye to summer welcomes autumn and brings Nature glorious palette of colour into my life.
