The night speaks to me mellifluously
As I wander into the radiant moonlight
A soft breeze whispers, crisply
Caressing autumn's most alluring display
Leaves hold wearily to their loving branches
Until in passing, they fall like gentle rain
Time pauses graciously, for my indulging in this moment
The light of sheltering homes, dancing through the trees
Stars look down and ponder of my nature
My shadow waits patiently as I linger in this dream
This beautiful autumn night and I lose myself inside it
The past, the present and future are herein, magnificently alive.

Beautiful words AH, the wonder of Autumn is hear with us.
Andy
Thank you for your comments. When I was younger I had more free time to actually “stop” and enjoy the beautiful season of autumn. I still enjoy this time of year but life moves so fast these days.
wonderful imagery, a good read
thanks for sharing
You are very kind. Thank you for reading and commenting. I’m still waiting on autumn to “get here” in Atlanta, GA. Georgia has 12 seasons of weather (I shared this on another comment but I will share again below 😂)
1. Winter
2. Fool’s spring
3. Second winter
4. Spring of deception
5. Third winter
6. The pollening
7. Spring
8. Summer
9. Hell’s front porch
10. False fall
11. Second summer
12. Fall
I think that’s fairly accurate 👍
Our beloved Blighty (UK), has all of those
plus a few extras,
like April to June's, 'surprise' showers
that last mere minutes
and Deep Summer monsoon, weekends etc.
(in-short, when it comes to bad weather:
we always Win)
Yes, we're very proud! lol
(just joking, letting you know we share your pain)
You made me laugh 😂. I love it.
In the summer of 2013 we had, seemingly almost every day, something very similar to your ‘surprise’ showers. Trust me, they were never a pleasant surprise 😂. I figured they must’ve been a plague that Moses forget to use. The fact that it was sunny made no difference. Eventually, around mid-day, a quick shower would pop up. It wouldn’t last long; just long enough to ensure that when the sun did come back out, the humidity would skyrocket and it would feel like a sauna outside. I was not a fan of that. I will gladly and thankfully let you win this ‘contest’. 🤣
