The Treasure Within

Accidental Poet

True love is a rare treasure

Fortunate are those who have it

Some search a lifetime

And never find it

The day I first saw you Sharon

Immediately, I felt a change

For I hadn’t known what love was

Until because of you, my life rearranged

And for more than fifty-four years

My love for you would grow

Not worth it some might say

But a treasure like this they don’t know

To love you Sharon is my life’s pleasure

 My heart invested, all in

This treasure is mine to keep

The treasure within
