I’ve been a good boy today,
A very good boy.
(Mind you by saying boy
I use seventy three years
Of Poetic Licence).
I got up this day,
Stripped and changed the bed,
Did the washing,
Cleaned the house.
And then I did it,
Did that which I always delay.
I did the ironing,
YES! I did the ironing!
And once more I proved,
Proved that there is a bottom,
A bottom to the ironing basket.
So yes, I’ve been a good boy today,
A very good boy.

Good write Gold. lol.
Fido's a good boy too, being an 18+ guard-dog still! His bark is worse than his bite.
Let's have you poets marking up them poems 18+, where they need to be, he says!
Thank you Orchi.
Oooh I agree that the ironing chore waits for me too dear Andy - you are always good by the way.......
Most kind Fay, much appreciated.

Awesome write Andy,
Not an ironing guy myself, but I still try to be a good boy. Unless some naughtiness knocks upon my door. 😁
Thank you AP, being a good boy has its rewards.
Andy
nope, sorry I can't relate Andy
I actually look forward to doing some ironing,
usually wait for the weekend, well lets just call it a dull Sunday and stop trying to act all poetic;
anyway, I'll play some lively jazz, Coltrane maybe
put my notebook to the side (you know how we scribblers do)
and go into this zen mode,
of watching pixelated images while rummaging/arranging
through my 'save for later'
thought receipts...
(well, each to their own I guess) lol
thanks for inspiring my little scribble, dear Poet
That sort of reminds me of my dad, he would set up the ironing board in the lounge, put his music on and do the ironing, his love of music was inherited by me.
Andy
