A cold day
fortunately greeted with sunny afternoon
as usual the protagonist was late
rushing after the metro train
so confused was she
she boarded the wrong train
or was it the destination wasn’t the same
the one with her intention to go
she sat patiently looking out
to change the metro at next platform
a guy similar to her age
also boarded the wrong train
the two strangers started the conversation
about the right destination
to take the right train
Their conversation proceeded
with the weather outside
to politics running the newspaper inside
the regions they came from
turned out that they were miles apart
yet the strangers shared some accord
they talked out about their dreams
one wished to be a change maker
while the other wishes to be writer
they talked and debated all while
only to notice they have to go a long way
So engrossed in each other
they forgot to change their way
continued to wrong destination
sometimes wrong trains can take a long way
and one finds right person on the wrong way

Nice. Well constructed and superb punch line / message. i'd be tempted to go all the way to the wrong destination too..... only to find she's married (wot, no ring) - devious!
Thank you dusk
How sad then it would be if both are married
But why not take a chance to go the wrong way
Maybe it would be courageous to gamble sometime
Been there, done that. T-shirt was a snug fit.
Ohhhh
You did experience it
Better luck next time
............... DA said it all my friend .. I agree with every word and then some ..
True Neville
When we live life
It’s just like gambling with God
Placing bets on the decisions we take
With every day starting with “ what if “
needs a little editing, but your beautiful message is still delivered: invigorating and profound!
you have a wonderful tonality to your poetry, a very attractive style
just take your time, re-read your writes
edit them as best you can
and watch your poetry blossom!
thanks for sharing
Thank you so much Poet for the most needed advice
I will try to refine myself
It’s true I am lacking but thankfully I am at a good place where people can guide me to be better everyday .
That's good advice from L B Mek. I found that the more poetry i read on mps the more i learned.
'How could i write like that' thoughts inspired me to try out styles, jump into genres i wouldn't have considered...
I would surely improvise myself dear reader
Good for the kids in later life when the questioned asked. Where did you meet.
Yeah so true dear reader…
It is amazing how these things can happen and you meet somebody quite by chance and get on so well with them. Very good words spilleronsheet.
