Ever changing colors
From dark to light
The sky is the canvas
From dim to bright.
The sun is the palette
The wind the brush
Water, the medium
For clouds a must.
Thin sheets of white
To pillowy forms
Dark rolling masses
Harbinger of storms.
From reds to blues
Oranges and greys
Yellows and greens
Dull to white blaze.
Green shaded Nimbus
Both dark and grey
Bringing the rain
To spoil the day.
Translucent Cirrus
Up high in the air
Wispy and feathery
like a lock of hair.
Fleecy Cumulus our
Fair weather friend
Ever changing shapes
For us to pretend.
Low level Stratus
That covers the sky
Semi-transparent
a sheet far and nigh.
The colours and shapes
In the sky we see
are Nature's treasures
You must agree.

- Comment from author about the poem: When I look to the sky I find a never ending beauty in motion. A vista of constantly changing colours and shapes that can give rise to emotions from pleasure to the anxiety of storm clouds.

Thank you for the feedback. Nature is full of so much beauty.
Yes it is . I like writing on nature too . Do you write poetry a lot?
I just started writing poetry a few years ago. I live a fairly solitary life and started using poetry as a way to express my feelings. I am happy to have found this site where I can share my poems, get constructive feedback and find a wealth of other inspiring writers.
as majestic a read
as its subject matter,
we need only finish reading your words and close our eyes
to be immersed in the wondrousness
of all-things: cloudy blue and cathartic...
thanks for sharing, a beautiful read!
Thanks for the feedback. Woods and flowers, sand and sea. There is so much beauty if we just pause in our busy life to enjoy it.
