Don't Think Too Much.

Goldfinch60

It happens to us all,

We go through our lives

With so many thoughts in our heads.

“How can I do this?”

“Where shall I go?”

“Why is he doing that?”

“What was I thinking?”

These thought go through us,

Go though us all the time.

When do we relax,

Relax and think of nothing?

The problem is that we think,

Think too much.

If we keep doing this

We could end up with a problem,

A problem that wasn't even there,

Wasn’t even there in the first place.

I suspect this was a main part of why I mucked it up in 1066. I thought of all these ideas, etc!
But - when an event, problem, etc is here - there's no time left to worry about it! lol.

Yes there are times when these thoughts go through our minds and simple issues become aggrandized
beyond their importance - often when we lie awake at night.

        • Goldfinch60

          So very true Michael.

OMG you've described my mum to a tee. What a worrier she was. I think she created an opposite in me.

A thinker needs a good book to get lost in and a river to bring harmony.

          • Goldfinch60

Thank you d a, yes a river and a good book can be so wonderful in our lives.

              I am an over thinker
And I can feel the after effects it brings to me
              It’s a very important advise
Thank you so much dear Andy

Makes me wonder, what happens when an overthinker bumps into an underthinker? Maybe they both walk away thinking they're brothers from another mother? 🤔 Don't think about it for too long.

                • Goldfinch60

OK AP I will take your advice and not think about for too long.

Overthinking breeds worry, and half the things we worry about never happen anyway. We really do fuss. Thank you Andy. Well penned!
