Bigger Than We Can Imagine.

Goldfinch60

We live our lives as best we can.

We have times that are very good

And times that are very bad.

At the moment times are not good

As we struggle to deal with this disease,

This disease that is affecting everyone.

Not just in illness

But also in the way our lives are being controlled.

These times for many are so very hard,

But what if,

What if,

Two words that can give us hope.

What if everything we are going through,

Going through just now

Is preparing us,

Preparing us for a dream,

A dream that is so big

That it is bigger than we can imagine.

      You maybe right, Andy.
I'm sure the Brits in 39 longed for the day they could get back to normal. We just have to do the same.

      • Goldfinch60

        Thank you Paul.

Yes so true, we too will get back to normal, it may be a different normality but we just need to accept it and move forward.

The Poem could have also been named "What if" the keywords of your poem.
            Wonderful thoughtful one Gold !!

            • Goldfinch60

Yes it could well be called "What if" possibly the most asked question in our lives.

              Thank you VS.

A poem for our times indeed.

I take it a day at a time but the future has a warm glow. It seems Ive been shielding for about 18 months now.

And it's a day at a time for me as well but there are always glimmers of hope on the horizon - Jeanne is doing well and my son's travel agency is busy but how much that will translate into firm bookings is still in the lap of the gods.

              • Goldfinch60

Yes Michael, when people ask me how I am I often reply - "Well I got up this morning, so all is well"
