Self induced Insomnia

woundedheart

Notice of absence from woundedheart
Sorry due to personal reasons i will be absent for an unknown period of time
Thank you for your friendship and may the Lord watch over you all and keep you safe. ❤❤❤❤

Laying silently beside you,

watching softly as you sleep,

fearing to close my eyes,

for fear ...

YOU

are just a

DREAM.

What I would call a minimalist write. A great piece.

  • dusk arising

So much romance here carefully crafted into so few lines.

        Good write WH.
        My daft version:
        I began to sing
Or was it two cats fighting?!
I awoke - it was all a dream
Me singing went up in a puff of smoke! lol.
My eccentric lapses on here, believing I can sing after 5,347 lessons - not really! lol.

You made me smile with your early morning silliness and I'm sure you sing like a lark. I sound like a hippo being strangled so sounds like a poem cats choir lol 😂

        a wonderful write
        captures that surreal feel
        upon realising,
        something yearned for, so desperately
        is now within reach,
succinctly accessible wording makes it all, even more relatable..
(a great read, thanks for sharing)

          Living on hooks
          Whether to leap
          Or to be safe
Whether to let go or keep hidden inside
Your poetry made me realise that I have been living on tenterhooks of time
The title so apt, keeps me in resonance
In urge of holding my dreams I let insomnia be a part of me
Only to realise life and dream both are fading
