the educators

dusk arising

there are people in our societies
who our societies struggle to accept
some think them lacking
and they are stared at in the street
people with so much to give
who give so freely of themselves

society has hung several labels
around their necks over the years
such as having special needs
or learning difficulties
which may be kinder terms
than the labels often used
both officially and in the street

.                        perculiar then to realise
.                        as it turns out
.                        these special people
.                        are educators
.                        for anyone who
.                        spends time
.                        in their company
.                        will agree that
.                        spending time here
.                        they learn so much
.                        about themselves
.                        and so much
.                        about life's values
.                        in a way you could not
.                        learn elsewhere
.                        values which will remain
.                        with you always
.                        and serve you well

A good writing , dusk )) people can judge so easily .. but why judge someone who is struggling and hurting in life . These people have needs and wants , and are important .. their not to be judged because their different . Their probably hurting a lot inside of themselves

To be honest I think even those with mental health issues can get judged or feel discriminated against .. treated in a weird way ., and no it isn’t fair at all

Some believe schizophrenia is merely the ability to see what others can not maybe they are right just because we cannot see something doesn't make it any less real I've never seen a whale but i know they are there, as for special needs treat them no differently just givev them more time and love and revel in their laughter as i do with all those i know and care for. Lovely words my friend ☺

    A very thought provoking poetry
A need for society to realise
    It’s not they are slow
It’s the moron brain of society who are unable to realise such hidden gems
Those who can be crafted as extremely talented souls
Had a classmate who suffered from Dyslexia, he turned out to be a pianist today
    They need patience and care
    That’s all they require
    Very well penned dear Dusk
Always I discover the true essence in your poetry

Just so - if only everyone spent more time mixing with others, learning from them and accepting them regardless of any labels or preconceptions we would all be so much richer.

There is always something to learn. How others cope with problems with their courage and never giving up values. With humility and integrity. This message in your poem is a very important one. Thank you.

I take my hat off to you DA .. there are some words simply crying to be let out .. and these are a fine example of that precise principle ...................... N
