Passing Notes

AuburnScribbler

Quieten down, boys and girls,

I would like to introduce,

a new girl to the class,

who would like to produce,

some clarity and justice,

to everyone in attendance,

let’s hope there’s no averting,

when see gives in her evidence.

Say hello to Sue, everyone,

welcome her with open arms,

for she’s that special someone,

who has words, that will calm,

as those who wear those blue coats,

are sure to be expelled,

when our new friend reads her book,

filled with deceit, that will repel.

Invitations were posted,

even though it wasn’t the time,

for everyone was told by them,

stay at home, to save a life,

these pictures tell their story,

of a Dionysian betrayal,

also this clip of Allegra,

who slurs in her portrayal,

some police officers, were bouncers,

no law, just stamp the hands,

of those, the few chancers,

who mutilate the land,

it’s very clear to me,

that they have got to go,

Boris is no longer leading,

he has reaped, what he has sown,

I shall pass my notes to the Met,

who I hope will see it through,

to ensure that this callous clique,

loses it’s power to screw.

Thank you, Sue, for your account,

I hope that we can reset,

that’s if your story doesn’t bounce,

off certain “cronies” at the Met,

who may deface your notes,

in order to make some lends,

to those, who make a scene so gross,

their foul elected friends,

assuring that no change,

makes its fruition,

thus, things will remain deranged,

us, denied our nutrition,

let’s wipe the slate clean,

and take heed on Sue’s notes,

perhaps, the way to make it clear,

is to no longer cast your vote.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Every debate in the Houses of Parliament, in my opinion, is a disgusting and dangerously staged farce. They are supposed to be running the country; yet this ongoing pantomime, has now become common place, even the Speaker of the House (who is supposed to be impartial), has shown his indirect support to those, who have wronged the UK. So seeing as the House of Commons is more like an out of control classroom, that is where this poem is set. We welcome the new girl, Sue, (Sue Gray), to tell her story (deliver her evidence), to the entire class. I hope that you enjoy the poem, goodness help us all, and as always, please do stay safe everyone.

LOL remember that if boris goes it will be another blue tory to replace him.
Unfortunately labour dont seem to be electable lately. THe last lot of labour to be elected are now scorned by labour themselves for being too like the tories and lefty corbyn gave them the biggest defeat ever.
Somehow i think boris will survive though all this will be re-lived at the next general election i'm sure.

    Very topical poetry.

Thanks for the read dusk arising, and yeah it's another case of "garbage in, garbage out", it's the reason why I don't vote. As, if the people vote just because of habit, it means the same mistakes, are going to reoccur from a different party/government. Meaning that if the people are haphazard in their voting, the government is going to be haphazard in it's practice!

I begrudgingly agree with your forecast, but really there should be a better way, I don't know what, but I'm sure it"s out there.

Thanks again, and I hope that all is well!

Isn't the general opinion that if a person refuses their right to vote then they give up their right to make comment.

        • AuburnScribbler

Not necessarily, for if people do nothing but vote, out of habit, for what they know in their hearts, will most likely turn into a dangerous thing, again, and again, then surely they are to blame for such a resurgence of pitiful governments. I didn't vote, it isn't my fault, those who did, backed a certain kind of horse, that always performs accordingly, to the same shoddy result, and those who have voted, comment in their droves in compliant, I say to them, it was you who voted them in, not me. I know that there are different parties, but if you think about it, the only difference is, is the colour of the ribbons they wear. Thus, I choose to abstain, because I don't want the blame.

All brave men, wish themselves cowards at times, haha!

The facade of so called democracy
              We thought we were ruling
The reality we still are being ruled
With those money stashed in pockets and guns loaded
              Can pass on bullets
Can dally playing while so many are dying
              It’s really sad
That monkeys are ruling the nations
              The sad truth
              Democracy seems unfound
Kidnap or lost in some account
              A notice reads
              “Lost and found democracy please”

              • AuburnScribbler

Thanks for the read spilleronsheet, and I wholeheartedly agree with your poetic comment above, let's hope that true democracy can be found.

Thanks again, and I hope that all is well!

I actually see the 'children' in our parliament too and other parliaments in the same state of affairs. A few countries (run by women!) are doing better (oops, sorry!)

                • AuburnScribbler

Thanks for the read Rozina, and I fully appreciate that such as farce is spread throughout the world.

I'm sure that some female leaders are by far more understanding, thus more tactful, but the likes of Margaret Thatcher, did leave a lot to be desired.

Thanks again, and I hope that all is well!

Very good write Ben, unfortunately I tend to agrre with dusk that Boris will survive and if he doesn't what horror will replace him.

                  Andy

                  • AuburnScribbler

Thanks for the read Andy, and yes in my comment back to dusk arising, I do "begrudgingly" agree with the forecast.

But I have also talked about the validity of voting, as, the only reason why those people are allowed to sit on those seats, is because the people, via their constitutional vote, give them the right to do.

Thus, a small part of me says, perhaps, just perhaps, it's not the governments fault, it's the people, who with such a blind faith, voted them into power.

Like you, I don't know what horror comes next, but when it comes to election night, I'm staying in for sure.

Thanks again, and I hope that all is well!
