It started that day in nineteen sixty eight,
I have watched nearly every episode,
Every episode of Question of Sport.
It has been so good over the years,
David Vine, David Coleman
And the wonderful Sue Barker,
They have been so wonderful to watch.
But then they had to change it,
Change it into its present form,
A form which to me is so awful,
That I will not watch another show.
This only goes to prove the saying
“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!!”

I see
There has been a change
Well maybe it might become worst in future
But thankfully one can binge again the old ones…though I know only few
That's true spilleronsheet, but why do they always seem to make things worse.

Yes, and where are comedy shows these days. Can't recall many since, oh about 1975.
There's so much rubbish I miss by going to bed in time - stand-up comedians, I mean!
So true Orchi.
Morecambe and Wise, Tommy Cooper... I forgot what years they covered. No more 'classical' comedy similar to theirs these days.
On TV they say 'new comedy coming up' and show trailers. I keep yelling at the screen 'comedy - where? when?' lol.
Totally agree. There's this thought things need to be jazzed up to bring in younger viewers.
I'm afraid I'm not into hopping , skipping, jumping, bat and ball, but do recognise the quality of the programme for those who are - I must correct that 'those who were' - the new version has resorted to Daily mirror format.
Yes Michael 'the Daily Mirror format' sounds about right.

The originals are always better,be it TV shows, movies or music, three isn't anything like seeing or hearing something for the first time,I would say.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it indeed dear friend
Thank you blue orchid, very true in many respects but as a lover of music for seventy years I hear some great new music that has been changed and I can appreciate both the old and the new in music.
