Let all the earth fear the Lord, let
Them all stand in awe yet
For He spoke, and it was done, He
Commands, it stands fast, see
The Lord brings counsel of heathen
To nought, thoughts, plans of men* (*mankind)
He makes their devices not stand
But works by His own hand* (*Spirit)
The counsel of the Lord stands for
Ever, it firm, strong, sure
And the thoughts of his heart are to
All generations true
Blessed is the nation whose God is
The Lord, e'en so is this
The people He has chosen hence
For His inheritance
