Re-engineering

spilleronsheet

Walls were built

For the security they told

but the land was chained

no vast landscape to withhold

dams were built

to make the bulb light

storing the water inside

but one who could move

move freely as they want

how long can you stop

stop her from wishfully flowing

doors were built

for security they said

for people or things inside

separating from the world outside

but how long can you close the poet inside

rooms built

with four walls

and a roof

they said it’s a luxury to have it so

well, the convicted was locked

how long can you stop her from looking around

alas

a window that stands high

could be the place

where gazing eyes

Met flying birds in the sky

locks were made

to make it secure

secure from the deprived

to those with lots inside

to contain the greeds in the eyes

alas

locks can’t stop the greedy eyes

it could only lock the victim inside

no matter what you built

its intentions that matter

the desire that counts

and the soul whose perspective meets the eyes

so no doors

No dams

no walls

and limited locks

windows to open the world

locks to keep the sadness in check

and bridges to connect

the old engineering to amend….

Well spiller, this poet lives behind locked doors and drinks water from a dammed stream in his fenced garden lit by an outside electric bulb.... none of which seems to interfere with my poetry.
I still see the beauty of the planet, am enchanted by the song of a blackbird and can blaize a trail to the wilderness, mountains or coast for spiritual nourishment.
      Am I a victim?

      • spilleronsheet

        No, your not a victim
In my eyes your a magician
You can transcend through the world
Maybe you a have teleport system on your sleeve
Who sees the world and pens them in exclusive lines
        That’s why I said it’s a person’s perception
On what those things may mean
        The way you described
        It showed freedom to me

John Lennon's Imagine comes to mind. No heaven,no hell,no countries,no religion,...well,I'm sure you know the words. I read Teddys comment,..but had to wipe my eyes to read your replies,lol...I'm always on.😂 But seriously,I did😭🤗🤗🤗🌹🌹🌹

So well said those lines of John Lennon….Miss Teddy is a great poetess and her reply made me cry as well..the feeling of being cared was felt…looks like I am not that unlucky I thought I would be ….beautiful friends adorn my life…with pens of swords showing me light
