Her husband passed into heaven.
Came the day that I was left alone,
Left alone not so long ago,
When my lover passed into heaven.
Our paths went on in loneliness,
Then came that day,
That day when our paths merged
And become one.
The loneliness went away
As our life became one,
One with each other
And our love for each other came,
Came into our lives.
A feeling so strong for us both,
A feeling that we know,
We know will be forever with us
As we travel our path together,
Together to infinity and beyond.

- Comment from author about the poem: As many of you know my wife died from dementia just over two years ago, I loved and still love her very much and she will always be with me. I have met a new lady who has been a widow for thirty years and our love for each other is so strong that we just do not understand how it can be this way, but it is and we will always be together in our love for each other.

A pull on the heart-strings.
Coming from a darkness into a new, or renewed, light?

Thank you Orchi, yes we are coming into a new light but neither of us forgetting the light in our past.

Yes, I suppose we never forget the light in the past. Same with guinea pigs. If one passes away, and needs a new companion, I don't forget the piggy that's passed away. They know too, as sentient beings.. I'm half-human, half guinea pig at times. lol.
Spiritually polyamorous? Go for it, enjoy. Life is too short to miss out on the opportunity of happiness here. You can sort out the rest when you get to wherever you believe you will meet both.
Thank you Dave. We will have nothing to sort out as we know that our passed lovers will be waiting for us and we four will go together to infinity as one.

with the youthfulness

that same theme
of love: surviving
