Notice of absence from L. B. Mek
'fare ye well' kind friends
'fare ye well' kind friends
Oh fairest love, how blithe thy heart’s kindness
were we but bold, and worthy valentines
our life’s vistas, serenading thine eyes
devoid of judgmental limitations,
Oh modernity, heed our humane pleas
carefree flags soar, proud: like our romances
June’s not only month for Pride’s sweet colours
refute hate and choose, love’s warmth of oneness

She counted the number of times
she'd had it off on valentines
"dear you are my seventh
or is it eleventh?
you're all such randy old swines"
just keeping it in the classical poetic style for you sir.
A lovely poem of love and love for all, a token of compassion and loving vibes. Loved the poetic lines lots as well. . Kudos. !!
Plz do read and comment my newest poem too.
And
Happy valentines day, poets.
thanks
Lovely poem Mek !! Happy valentines day , and have a great Day !!
glad you liked it, thank you kind poet
Fine writing indeed. So appropriate for all today.
oh good, 'appropriate' is good to see,
since there's a risk readers will misunderstand
like some have,
thank you, dear poet
A pleasure to read the classic approach to this special day of reviewing what love really means - A beautiful rendering of the message behind Keat's quoted reminder dear Mek.
thank you for highlighting that quote, dear Fay
it's almost become a personal mantra for me
I believe
all of life's beauty, truth and meaningfulness
originates from somewhere within those words..
This was written with a certain finesse that I just can't pin down but can definitely appreciate. Beautifully written! 💖👍
first time my humble scribbles
have been associated with finesse
how very kind, dear poet
thank you!
An ode to true love
A selfless one
Not obscure
Not insane
No contours defined
No one soul identified
But love for all
And so dignified
Which lines keeps me hooked
It’s a fraternity that keeps me booked
Nothing but this poetry in all kind
A love for all, not human but humanity defined
Totally bow in honours of the beautiful write
And the ending a thunder claps defined
“ refute hate and choose, love’s warmth of oneness”
Brilliant writing!
'But love for all
And so dignified'
and thank you, dear Poet
A fine write, L.B.
Happy Valentine day I'll have cup of tea a chocolate and think of thee.
wow, Jerry
I think you have a way of telling
which writes I get a nervous about posting
since inevitably, you never fail
to comment and support on them..
what a considerate and empathetic
humanist you are, dear poet
I thank you! with the utmost sincerity
and cheers 🍻
Good words Mek.
Make love, not war.
Andy
Amen!
my word, wot a clever fellow thou art .. a message truer than true & so very hued dear Mek ............................. N
'so very hued': Genius!
(forewarning I may steal that in the future
please add it to my mountainous tab...) lol
thank you, Hyung
L.B. A very classical touch to this poem on such a widely spoken topic. Yet hidden here in colors vivid and bright is the message to not restrict love from any but let it extend under the rainbow. Very nicely done.
ah you've unearthed another of my personal fav's
indeed:
'not restrict love from any but let it extend under the rainbow.'
I just wish I had your poetic brevity to word it so succinct
thank you! my kind friend
