The so called sheep

spilleronsheet

A moment of indecisiveness

a moment of pause

a long haul

Negligence and so aloof

never to speak

Deep inside were words of displease

obedience of years

tagged as sheep

middle of somewhere

in sudden breeze

the rebel broke out

frustrated lion roared across streets

docile was it ?

a mere act of sheep

no longer the hauling cries

but howl of victory

amidst the quest

in the jungle of conquests

to conquer the heart and rest….

Dear Spiller, So many interpretations strike at once. But

Let not the SHEEP not Sleep,
    The journey is surely Steep
    Not the time to Weep
Face the Lion with a LEAP !!

Good one !! But Poignant one ofcourse !!

      A poetic reply
      To the curiosities stored
      A beautiful advice
      For the anxieties it holds
      A cheerful smile
      To awaken the spirits
      And a nudge of support
      Telling, Oh dear friend
      Get up and run again
Thanks dear Vamsi for always giving wonderful replies

        Strikingly true dear Rose
        Follow the tunes heart sets
        On which mind rests
Let the society be whatever it wants
One can’t be whatever they want
Thanks for always resonating with my thoughts

            Like the flowers in bloom

Yes! What and ending and once truly connected to that inner raw, the heart no longer feels the need for more.

            Whatever will be will be..

there is more to this page than first meets the eye .. once the brain is engaged and an imagination is added, it is possible to interpret this fine work in many ways that go far beyond the obvious ......... super spiller ................ Neville

Thank you so much dear Neville

Great lines. Yes always easier to follow the crowd. It needs guts to stand up and speak out one’s own beliefs.

                • spilleronsheet

                  So true dear Rozina
                  Glad you liked it

I find this poem beautifully parallel to my ethical standpoints. I strive to promote the notion that "you have to live for YOURSELF" in my poetry and my works. Although it may seem egocentric, at the end of the day, it is "survival of the fittest." If you decide to follow leaders and join the bandwagon, you will never stand out or make YOUR voice heard. So I love the way you expressed that message through this poem! Bravo! 💖💖

                  • spilleronsheet

Yes indeed, it’s best to realise that anyone else comes behind. Behind to existence of thyself….cause you can heed to others only when you live for yourself…self love is priority…I am glad that you liked my poetry
