Reef
I want to be there
where the thin white line
gets broken ..
Somewhere between
the sky,
the horizon and the sea
Precisely where
The waves get thrown
Against the coral ..
And where we once tied
the knot ..
Oh' so very long ago now ..

Good write N. An atmospheric picture.
Aww, why they say 'I don't want to be there', when I say 'I'm gonna sing at [insert name of place]'! lol.
thank you Orchidee ........... I must say, I can't say that's not a relief ......................................... 🙂
Sounds like a beautiful moment and place!
Mine was at The Silver Bell Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, and I held plastic flowers, no guest... and I wore an orange dress and brown boots..
................................... splendid, my favourite combination ......................... yes it was and thank you Dove ..
What a beautiful memory of your wedding. Lovely lines.
Ha .. bless you Roz .. I actually got married in an old psychiatric hospital chapel in Northampton .. presided over by my late Father-in-Law who was the vicar & hospital chaplain ... This little scribble was inspired by the place where I renewed my vows .. again, quite some time ago but I went back there very recently ....................................................... Many serious thanks dear friend .. Neville
Now that's autobiography rich in detail, Neville - I'd like to read more of it.
As a side issue - it may also be a memorial to a reef which no longer exists - if the processes in progress Down Under are anything to go by.
Cheers DD .. and if you bark nicely sir .. I might just send you a copy of the first chapter .. 🙂
Fulsome but tonally well modulated, ‘Wuff’.
Definitely the place to get married, and keeps you in the mood for the rest of the holiday.
I'm always in the mood for a holiday Paul .. but I get your drift sir and thank you for it .............. N

Always happy to oblige - got a bit obsessive with limericks at the moment so must start thinking about other forms. Cheers on yer N
Those magical places of yesterday which our dreams romance to re-visit far from the everyday of reality to the land of bliss.
Your poetry is always first class and ethereal which grasps my imagination every time. Here i am drawn in once again to experience the emotion and give some sort of rendering of where my mind is taken. I wish that more on MPS shared your skills.
Hey Guv'nor Dusky .. You may never know just how bloomin much I really value your visits, encouragement & support .............. but believe me, I truly do .......................... no puns, maybe's or kiddin ................................ Neville 🙂
The Great Barrier Reef brushed my mind
A scenic beauty emerged inside
A beautiful poetry that called calm inside
Thanks dear Neville
The reef in question is the second biggest barrier reef on this particular planet spiller .. but I am delighted that my scribble conjoured up the idea of the biggest one which you mention .. thank you so much for the great review, and for being my friend ......................................... Neville
Beautiful place to tie the knot Neville and that place will be forever in your heart.
Andy
We call it a reef knot around these here parts .................. ta Andy .......................... 🙂
