Another soul returns home (sad)

Poetic Dan

My poem could never be as beautiful as your light but now you are at peace with all spirits in flight.

Only meeting you once for less than 24 hours, asking to play my guitar you dazzled my ears in delight, yet made my eyes sprinkle with words of your mother in the sky.

We chatted over tea and it was clear to see, your life had already been pretty colourful indeed. Each sharing our sorrows from where it was lost, looking to the next journey to keep any darkness off.

Years had passed on and I find your picture added to the memories of souls not forgotten, although your story needs knowing to try keep others from being unable to pull off that crocked path.

Hidden away in a room drinking, while still able to pull it together and help others. Your wounds ran so deep that even your closest friends are left wondering if there was more they could of done, although nothing can enter what we want to keep boarded up.

That piece of history that love can not let go off, and I hope whatever it was your now a part of.

This life can truly be a dream or a nightmare and no matter how many beautiful souls we have around us, there's a balloon that fills up and when it's ready to go it's ready to go.

I'll thank the stars every night for the part you played in mine, thankful to of helped yours enough to now be home safe at last.

There are those people who seem to transcend earthly boundaries while they are here, and when they are gone leave a shining trail behind them. Loss is pain, but memories can be the balm. A beautiful, heartfelt piece.

                    'we must cherish
those fateful encounters in our lives
                    for, from the thousands
                    that cross our life's path
                    we're lucky
to have, but a handful few
                    tattoo their presence
                    in our memories and heart's...'
                    may she rest in peace
(what a beautiful eulogy you've penned, brother
what a way to utilise your wonderful gift, dear Poet)

                    • Poetic Dan

You know it my friend and loved the tattoos as I couldn't get them to leave if I wanted too!

I was honoured when her best friend said she would like to read it, the words just kept coming until I'd written them out...

                      Really appreciate your support
