8 billion share these blood groups
All are coloured red
* * * * * * * * * *
In which century will bigotry end? Is it just a dream theme to be written about in a science fiction novel?
If you need blood, do you ask what race or religion the donor belongs to?

Very true words Rozina, if only people would realise that we are all one people.
Andy
Yes. Thank you Andy.
Love that picture, as soon as i saw it it made me laugh.
I'm in total harmony with your sentiment here. Regardless of any surface differences we all bleed red blood. Why can't we all live together in peace and harmony.
Yes why can’t we? Thank you dusk.
Being royal, I'm actually blue bloodied, though naturally If I cut myself shaving, I'm open to any old blood in my transfusion.
My humble apologies, Your Excellency (?) We have run out of blue blood…..
Off with your head, then. lol
(forgive me, I read your words
and couldn't help
inking a little scribbled reply,
thank you! for sharing such an important
and inspiring write, dear Poet)
you want to know
the peak of diabolical, futility
in blind Hate?
its watching-on, helplessly
as loving parents
refuse their children
blood transfusion
lifeline, treatment measures
because, someone
in their religion's hierarchy
translated with hypocrisy
that having blood mix
with another's
of differing faith's
or life choices
is a sin...
so this parents, with waterfall tears
watch, thinking
they're doing the right thing
while doctors rave and scream
and officials try to ward the child
and save a life
and you, just watch that EKG
flatline
and in you burns, this Pure hopeless
hate
for the sheer moronic
and vial stupidity of Humanity..
a little later
you sigh, heavily
and with hunched shoulders
look-up to that 8Ball sky
and thank the universe
your loved ones, avoided such a fate
by the mere chaotic absurdity
of your biological lottery...
Thank you for your comments. It is a really terrible tragedy to lose a child, any life when religious beliefs prevent the acceptance of others’ blood. In my country this rarely happens; instead patients refuse life saving treatment because of fear, ignorance, preference for the ‘local witch doctor’s’ remedies, conflicting advice from the extended family, ‘well meaning’ friends, it’s their fate…….
Dear Rozina - such a true statement on blood and a very significant question you pose too - thanks for sharing the facts re. blood with us dear poet friend.
Thank you Fay.
Short but so punched with meaning and truth. Discrimination is a destructive thing and we must understand we're all humans despite our differences. Good job! 💖
Thank you Rocky.
Rozina,
This is such a telling write.
Imagine being rushed in ER and in need of a transfusion. I wonder how many would question the donor’s religion, race/ethnicity, etc. whose blood is saving their life!
Thank you for sharing your .
Laura🌻
Thank you so much Laura.
You’re most welcome, Rozina.🌻
I regularly donate a pint of blood and it bothers me not one single drop what colour race or creed the recipient is .. or for that matter, is not .................... 💖
Exactly. Thank you.
Hopefully the more we write it the more we shall transcend into....
Thanks for being the gas to keep that fire burning
Thank you.
We are all different and at the same time all the same. A good write.
Thank you.
