I always moan about them,
The idiots on the road,
But today was different,
Today the good drivers were out.
Drove at correct speeds,
Left sufficient gaps between each other,
Were polite to others,
Allowed others out with courtesy.
To cap it all
I saw the weirdest thing,
I saw the lone BMW,
The one that had an indicator fitted,
Fitted at the factory.
I almost stopped in shock,
I don’t think I had seen that before,
A BMW indicating which way it was going!
I looked in my mirror
And there coming towards me
Was a Ferrari,
It could have flashed by me,
But no it stayed behind,
A reasonable distance behind.
So today was a good day,
A good day to be on the road.

Was today yesterday? Not been out yet so hoping it's a good here - but I doubt it. 🤔
It is a very rare occasion nowadays Michael.

Good write Gold.
Thank s Orchi.
It's nice when it happens, so very true and no one deserves a happy drive more than you...
Glad I didn't come along on my bike to spoil it! Lol
Thank you Dan, much appreciated.
If you came along on your bike that would be 20 points for me to gain. LOL

Lmao good man
considering life trickles by at such a slow pace down here generally that is .. South Somerset drivers have got to be some of the most impatient, selfish and foot on the gas felons around ............ and sorry, I dont believe the bit about a BMW driver Andy ... I used to drive one .. and even the tractors sped past me ... 🙂
So true Neville a friend of mine said that when she lived in that area the drivers were atrocious.
As for the BMW driver I wonder how much extra it cost to have indicators fitted on his car. LOL

Was driving on the road, ever so slow
Hurry up, to work I have to drive
Honk, honk, the cars behind did blow
Everyone was in a hurry don't you know
All that noise , how could one survive
Was driving on the road, ever so slow
Funny, then a driver, yelled, "Need a Tow?"
I yelled back "No , please get a life
Honk, honk, the cars behind did blow
Then a driver suddenly did show
Asked me to pull over, holding a knife
Was driving on the road, ever so slow
I stepped on the gas, I was on the go
Oh yes, I was speeding for my life
Honk, honk, the cars behind did blow
Now, I never drive fast, nor slow
Just at a pace that feels ever nice
Was driving on the road, ever so slow
Honk, honk, the cars behind did blow
Good poetic reply Dove, thank you.

I waved from my Bentley but you never saw me - - you were busy noting those better drivers when I flashed past on that road - - ha -- loved your gentle moan and the beautiful music dear Andy - - felt like a go at a fun-answer today - -
That was you in the Bentley was it flashing passed me was it Fay.
Thank you for your kind words.

Waiting for that day! What a lovely day that was for you. Much less stress if this happens more often.
