Tune: Abridge
('Be thou my guardian and my guide')
Psalm 37 parts
*******
The meek shall the earth inherit
Their path with joy be lit
They shall in abundance of peace
Delight, pleasures ne'er cease
A little that a righteous one
Has, is better than none
'Tis greater than the riches, yes
That wicked do possess
Steps of good men and women, see
They be the Lord sure be
Established and ordered, and He
Delights in their way free
The Lord loves judgement, He does keep
His people as His sheep
Forsakes them not, preserved they are
But wicked cast off far
The salvation of the righteous
Is of the Lord, e'en us
He helps, gives strength in troubles times
His aid through all life's rhymes
