The world is full of cries
The cries of the suffering
When the innocent dies.
The cross this world’s bearing
Brings tragic cries of grief,
Deaf ears and uncaring.
Dying, gasping for breath
Its cries of desperation
For the sword brings death.
The cries of its hurting heart
Cries out in supplication
Seeing humans torn apart.
Crying in the night's abyss
It hopes the end is nigh
being sick of all this.

I too hope the end is nigh, this world deserves love for all.

A truly emotive write and reflection of a sad world - super work.
(Brilliantly acute, emotive
and vivid, poetic representation
of our collective, despair..
thanks for sharing, dear Poet
and inspiring my little scribbled reply
forgive me
if you find my self indulgent rudeness, offensive
I truly mean no disrespect)
'sometimes, in the rain
I stretch out my hands
beyond my umbrella's
or double glazed window's
and feel, those pinprick
sharp burst's, thudding
on my, tiny
calloused palm
and indulge, in a little
meditative cleansing
with a deep, elongated
sigh
my cheeks, momentarily
puffed-up
with self importance
deflate, so willingly
as I recall, acceptance within forgiveness
to forget, circumstance...'
yes, we humanity are fallible
yes, we can be warped into something like
unfathomable destruction, incarnate
but, also
yes, in each of us
exists
humane - potential, enough
to undo
all our mistakes, in just
One, humble
generation's, realisation
of sustained, empathetic
Oneness
with each other and Nature!
all this defeatist, Nihilism
in fear of that seemingly, impending
Nuclear warfare, horror
can be Overcome
by one Speech
to infuse, our hearts
with an indelible Dream
so we just need to find
that next, heroin or warrior
of Peace and Love
to stand up! and state
'I, too
have a dream
that One day...'
A very emotional piece, especially now, thinking rubyrae
The tide is turning, Ukraine is winning this war, Putin is looking for a way out now.
