I walk the path through the green,
The wonderful green swards of the meadow.
There ahead of me is the wood
Where the green of the leaves are seen.
The new life of Spring is here
And I walk amongst its glory,
The yellows of new life are seen
As the new flowers clothe the ground
Bringing new life into my world.
As I walk along this woodland path
The birds sing in the trees,
Their songs so intense
As they search for new life’s creation
Bringing their future into my life.
I come to the lake and sit,
Sit at its side.
The ripples of fish rising expand
And show me that life always grows,
Grows to and end.
As the ripples fade the bigger they get,
But new life is always there
And will always show me the way,
The way to live this life,
My wonderful life.

'And I walk amongst its glory,'
Amen!
'so much, solace within reach
we merely have to let our eyes
roam free and seek..'

With all the pains and sufferings in our world today it is quite lovely and quite refreshing to be reminded in your words of the beauty all around us. How forgiving nature is. How we realise we are attuned to nature as, with the springtime awakening around us we are spiritually re-awakened and envigorated. Yes life is wonderful.
But with all this I am so saddened by the suffering of the war.
Thank you d a, very true on both accounts.

Oh dear poet, what beautiful words. Amidst all the woe of this world, there is spring that washes us clean and gives us new hope, even if just for a while. It is our respite and our rejuvenator.
Thank you Bella, it certainly is our respite into a new world and may that new world be at peace with itself.
