Knowledge, the golden orb

spilleronsheet

A garden of cloves

with vast sky gazing it

the seeker finding its trail

horse shoe on its wrist

a talisman as his guard

he continues to race

prophecies were made

prophecies were told

a predestined life may hold

without any questions

without any curiosities

he continued to trail

no knowing where it should tail?

Thats  how it was

thats how it is…..

But a sudden gleam of surprise

to make his heart realise

euphoria struck on mind

what was the goal ?

it didn’t mater

what was he searching ?

was a clueless question

the question was process

suddenly the oceans limit was examined

with no start

no beginning

universe expanse was thought and analysed

the heart raced inside

telling knowledge

The most shining orb

his goal was to know more and more

every line he encountered

added to his curiosities

maybe as a food for his brain to live

knowledge

in midst of race

what was it ?

    'Sunrise, in midst
    of a Winter's bleak
    how do we, treasure it..
    Lakeside oasis, beside
    baron sand deserts
    how to convey, its treasure..
    Wisdom, pooling
    from our life's carcass
    of failures and regrets:
    how dare we, Value it!'
    (another brilliant
    and inspiringly introspective, poem
    dear poet
    just a privilege
    to witness your artistry grow..
    thank you!)

Yes. The human nature is all about acquiring knowledge and wanting to learn more and more. We're curious creatures and it's just embedded in our DNA. However, "what was it?" What is it really for? I love this examination into humanity. Great job!

You got me dear Rocky….you look straight through my poetry….yep humans are well of curiosities…and endless shore wanting to know more….thanks dear Rocky…

      • Bella Shepard

I love how you have framed these questions of life. The thirst for knowledge propels us always forward, into a future we try to imagine. And as I think about what I know, I realize that on the whole, I don't know anything at all.

        • spilleronsheet

          Very true dear Bella
Born intellect are those who are humble in their way
          To know more, they thirst
And the essence of knowing is always the way that there is still so much more to learn

        • Vamsi Sudha

          Spill more and mysteriosly..

          • spilleronsheet

          • Rozina

The more I learn the more I realise I don't know much at all. Without this human curiosity so much would have remained discovered. At the same time, curiosity killed the cat. Your poem is thought provoking indeed. Thank you.

            • spilleronsheet

Thank you so much dear Rosina.
I really liked the perspective that curiosity killed the cat…..
To know more is the urge
But sometimes the devil devours itself in that curiosity ahead

Those 'pings' of knowledge can strike us at any time.

            • Neville

I just can not fault these words dear friend & poet ..

there are so many individual lines that are super in their very own write and which collectively make up something much greater and sublimely poetically profound ...

              ...................Neville .......... x

              • spilleronsheet

That is very true dear Neville…man’s knowledge and good intent can make wonders
