I'm a lover of short pieces as you know and this up at the top of the senryu tree.
Thank you dear Michael. As you can tell from my two Senryus, I’m dealing with not being able to sleep due to yesterday’s treatment. I’m not letting this burst of energy go to waste…so commands my Muse.

When the mind will not rest and sleepless hours torment... what better way to rest the mind than unloading into poetry... works for me.
THough I wish you better nights sleeping, it is good to see you writing again 🌻
May be insomnia. Although I don't personally deal with it, it takes me a while before I actually fall asleep so I just stay with an active mind for like an hour or two before entering the subconscious state. During that period my muse tends to pull my ear and beckons me to write. Relatable.
made me smile but its not funny when the arms of Morpheus elude ya is it ......... tell the muse you need more zzzz's 🙂

In saying that, I don't know why.
I too sometimes have trouble sleeping. And when I don't sleep, I'm amazed at what comes by way of keyboard or pen. Hope you can get some sleep soon Laura. 😴
