WE’RE GOING SHOPPING

Michael Edwards

We’re going shopping, I insist

that we make out a shopping list

and on it please put lemon curd

yes lemon curd, you’ve not misheard.

What goes on within your head

you took it literally what I said

and spread it on and that’s absurd

for now I cannot read a word.

Clever words Michael in that second stanza.

    I too like lemon curd.

    Great triptych.

Thanks Andy - we got a pot a little while back for the first time in a long time and love it - but it is a bit sweet.

If you tryp tych you end up with tock - or so Miss Berles tells me.

LOL good job you didn't ask her to put a shed on it.
Oh my i havent tasted lemon curd in a while... got me thinking now you devil.

He was sure his words had been heard
when he requested they buy lemon curt
but in-store it got quite trickly
            the list was all sticky
            and everything written was blurred

A cheerful young gal in a dress
            assists shoppers in-store M&S
can i help you she asked
            as M.E. walked past
fingers coated in a pale sticky mess

Would love to try this. When I go to UK I shall look for this. Enjoyed this.
