First Flush

Fay Slimm.

First Flush.

From her first flush Spring trumpets

with full-throated daffodil-gold

her vibrant welcome to lovers

of April's effective proposal

of making new season push

her bud-bursting notions

while  whispers blown

thru' each petal look

to birth pale colour

which sets pace

of growth-rush

when Summer

takes over.

So beautiful and serene…nothing bit a poetry of nature’s beauty can ascend a tired mind…very lovely work penned dear Fay….

Agreed dear Spills - poetry lifts tired minds like nothing else and Spring is the time for tributes to first flush of beauty. Great you enjoyed the read.

Oh I love this poem! With the color and the shape of the poem, what's not to like? I wish spring would come where I live so I just live vicariously through this poem. Thanks!

I guessed you would like the shape of First Flush dear Christina and thank you for the comment -- wishing you Spring near where you live as it brightens all faces of wintery places.

            'of making Nature blush
            with bud-burst notions
            and whispers blown

            par excellence!
            'making us, drift
            and glide, on your wings
            of ink..
            as our fingertips, type
            on QWERTY, keys
            as-if, we're brushing
            Nature's, velvet leafed

Ah - there you are Fay, I wondered where you'd gone.

Is that the vase shape of the inner daffodil flower I see before my eyes? Yes, but in words this day it heralds beautifully the onset of our most welcome change of seasons.
Like the return of opening buds it's so good to welcome you back to my humble screen with your warmth of words. Hi there! - how are you... are you staying a while?

                      • Fay Slimm.

Your welcome is truly appreciated my friend - I am I hope now back here to stay - the fact that I have had a new computer installed but it messed up my passwords etc and I have been locked out of M.P.S. for quite some while - I tried daily to get on board again and was not allowed entry - - but a friend informed admin.of my sad story - - and now I am back. Love how you compare my return dear Dusk to opening buds.

A great expression of Spring's arrival. Color returns to replace the drab offerings of winter, flowers bloom, trees bud. Who could ask for more? Nice write Fay - Phil A.
