Yonder

Fay Slimm.

Yonder.

Over the borders of everyday dim

lies dreamy Yonder

of potent beyondness which

will cover divides.

Tho' above and apart distance

retreats with mundane

when hearts start igniting

in ache's duo-fires.

Bliss can be found in a trice if

kindled with fancy

where even a wish for a kiss

does not fade or die.

Launched into new bloom with

no more than allure

pleasures of Yonder can be

mesmeric if tried

Thank you dear friend - I had hope it would come over as gentle

As one who has dwelt in yonder for several years I confirm it outshines everyday dim by a very poetic long shot. It is a very comfortable place to reside though one does definitely need to be self supporting.

Mesmeric indeed, one becomes intoxicated with possibilities.

What an expressive comment and my grateful thanks dear Dusk.

Beautiful words that bring to mind 'the Beyondness Of Things' by John Barry - they would work together so well in performance poetry.

                • Fay Slimm.

Ah you must know ;how much I admire Barry and his lovely Beyondness of Things though I had not even heart it when this piece was first written -- but wow to think it could be read aloud as that wonderful music is played - -- well we can dream eh - -thanks a load Michael.

The image melds beautifully with the poem. I can see your description of Yonder in it so vividly, a lovely place that is ever on the horizon, but seems to be just out of reach. For me, a place filled with longing and hope. Thank You!
