The daffodils are blooming
The frozen tundra melted overnight,
It seems Spring is here even for just
a moment, I squeal with delight!
The lilacs, they aren't blooming yet
My favorite, though it will be late May
From purple ones to white ones
They just don't want to stay
A bouquet's not complete without Lily Of The Valley
What a sweet smell they give
Without them a gardens not complete
Their once a year fragrance makes me live
The grass is starting to grow
The emerald stuff is a pain in the ass!
We all have to mow it and maintain
It's not here that long but I still dislike grass!

You highlight my favourite blooms too at this time of year and spring comes a bit earlier here - - tiny but oh what a scent lily of valley gives to any bouquet - a lovely time of year Chritina and may the weather warm up for you soon.
Oh it will get warmer next week! But with us its a tug of war back and forth from warm to cold, but the 10 day forecast seems pretty steady so we'll see. Thanks for your lovely comments they are much appreciated!

Oh you lucky devil!!! Well it gets very cold here and we get lake effect snow from lake michigan, also have to deal with the cold until it starts to warm up again. Spring will be here next week with much warmer temps and we too will have to cut the grass.
"The emerald stuff is a pain in the ass!" Literally golden words right here. Hehe. No but seriously what an enticing poem. Spring is HERE, and I can't wait to live in the natural paradise. Still though, mowing is kind of a pain!
Well, its a pain that my son has to live with....he's in charge of mowing the lawn but we've had people say it looks professionally done. Anyway, thanks for stopping by and commenting on my humble little poem! Appreciated!
Me, I'll take the grass any day over the white stuff. Great write Christina. π
Oh agreed!! Anyday!! Thanks for the fave and the kind review, AP!
Freshly cut grass enliven the senses of the heart, though I totally agree as a chore itβs a bore.
