Tune: St Cuthbert
('Our blest Redeemer, ere He breathed')
John 8 v.1-11 parts
******
Woman caught in adultery
They brought to Jesus, see
Wanting her to be stoned were they
With no mercy
But Jesus, Friend of sinners, he
Said, who without sin be
Let him cast first stone at her, they
Did leave that day
Convicted by their own conscience
Their own sins they did sense
They went away, and none remained
Stoning not gained
Jesus said to woman, Where are
Your accusers? They far
From you now, has no one condemned
You to death's end?
She said, No one, Lord, and Jesus
As He does say t ous
Said, Neither I condemn you, go
My pardon know
Go, and sin no more, I forgive
You, through my power live
May we, Lord, accept you our Friend
E'en to our end

Wonderful Orchi! Loving the "E'en" you used, I adore the archaic style. Makes me think of "ne'er" and "thee." All beautiful!
Thanks Rocky. I runs out of syllables. lol.
And what better friend to have than Jesus? 😀
Thanks AP.
