The Enslavement Of A Believer

FallenAngel1🕊

Is there a religion I can choose to follow

That doesn’t enslave to hollow

To hollow out my heart and mind

Isn’t all just the blind leading the blind

All religions say you must have faith

Those very two words are the words that enslave

”You must” are words of force

”You must”repent your sins and feel remorse

”You must” takes free will away

The very thing “god” gave humanity so they say

Organized religion enslaves the mind

It ought to be outlawed and considered a crime.

  • Comment from author about the poem: “You must” The very moment those two words are spoken,is the moment choice is taken away. As soon as choice is taken away, you have slavery. The only thing we truly have no power over that enslaves all life is life itself. Everything that lives MUST have water and food. All the lives MUST Die.

Hi, this is wonderful. Many religions do feel like they "force" people to believe... or else. I mean I can talk from experience as I go to church with my father almost every Sunday and some people get so annoying about it. They start like scrutinizing me and interrogate me with every question possible. Kinda scary.

I think I might have written about this once or twice on MPS.
I found that when i raised certain points among believers of an organised religion i was called a bully by several other apparent followers of that religion.
Five of them all calling me the bully LOL... just WHO was being bullied - five against one? But of course, having been told and believed certain things 'must' be done they do such things without applying thought to their actions.

I’ve heard it said,no matter who’s bible you read. It’s all the same story, just told in different ways. And they all deliver the same message in the end. But the bible(s)”god” wrote, have all been re-written by humanity time and again through out the ages. And as we did so,you gotta know that along the way we have misinterpreted it over and over. I believe the very first and original bible written by “god” is the Ten Commandments. Cheer’s Rocky🥂🌹🕊🌞

4th commandment "remember the sabbath and keep it holy" you would have thought christians would honour this but oh no... the sabbath is a saturday (ask a jew LOL) and christians moved their day to sunday because they nicked the holy day of worshipping the sun. People were already doing it so they hoodwinked it. Same with christmas and easter which were totally different celebrations pre christianity. There is absolutely no evidence to show jesus was born in december or crucified at eastertime. But if you point this kind of stuff out to christians they will end up calling you names.
It is accepted among the learned christians that the bible is full of untruths and mistranslations but still it is taught as if it is the truth. Flock is a good name of the followers BAAAAA!

Writing about religion is like writing about Pluto, it’s just a great mystery. I happen to believe we’re controlled by aliens in an intergalactic game!

My best friend (R.I.P. Ed) Thought Jesus was an alien with technology many years ahead of ours,..of the time. When Jesus walked on water,he was walking on a tractor-beam, the burning bush was a hologram. These would’ve looked like magic too us in our primitive years. It kinda makes one wonder🤔 But the thing is,organized religion is just another institution. Nothing more then a monument to humanities ego. True religion does not surpress and enslave or indoctrinate their believers/followers. So I believe there is a night and day difference between the two. Unfortunately the wrong one seems to be the more popular. But that’s because we made it so it money that makes the world go ‘round. Cheers🍻 thanks for reading. P.S. You are right about writing about religion,it’s a big mystery.

So very, very true WJG, organised religion is a farce and based on lies!

This is amazing. You portrayed the problems with many religions so greatly.
