Back in the day
You owned my thoughts
My attention more on you
Much less my schoolwork got
Even though
It was many years ago
Still, you rule my heart
Still, for you it glows
In my mind
It makes perfect sense
But most can’t understand it
Can’t ascend that fence
That I could pass on other loves
Why would I live that way?
To go through life alone
“So sad”, they would say
But they don’t know you
The same as I
They didn’t fall in love
With your smile and eyes
They didn’t know
The Sharon that I knew
The sound of your voice
All the memories too
You went away a long time ago
And still, you’re with me today
Making me smile like this
Every night and day
That’s the impact
You had on me
The reason for my smile
Still today you’ll see

You didn't waste any time on this one Teddy. As if you were there waiting to pounce on it with your words of positivity and encouragement. I thank you dear poetess for always supporting my poetry, especially my poetry for Sharon. 😍
Will I see tomorrow too?!
Note to self: Do shut up Orchi. lol.
What you see tomorrow, you will have foreseen today, Orchi. Don't scare yourself. 😄
Sounds bit like: 'You're a fortune teller, so you say. What about the bus that knocked you over?' The person replies 'Erm, well I didn't foresee that!' lol.
😆
Another beautiful poem AP. She is clearly some lady!
If I have given even a glimpse of the wonder that Sharon is, I've done what I set out to do. But I will always strive to show what she has meant to me. For if she were ever to come here and read these words, she'll know she has made at least one man's heart live with a light of forever love.
Thanks for reading and your compliment Sax. 😊
Very heartfelt beautiful lines.
Thank you so much Rozina. Appreciate you reading and complimenting. 😊
May that smile be seen by her one day AP.
Andy
Then our smiles will have come full circle. Thanks Andy. 😊
