FEELINGS BEFORE FACTS

Michael Edwards

A sense of entitlement

obscuring enlightenment.

Feelings before facts

on others impacts.

Fantasy before reality

an affront to morality.

Social cohesion

in decline and division.

Taking offence

at others expense.

A fine write and pic M.
I think the Age of Enlightenment caused many to move into more darkness! Doh!
Not quite sure how that fits in here, but Miss Berles knows the workings of the human mind, how many syllables are in it anyway.

    • Michael Edwards

A cornucopia of sylables - Miss Berles says the exact number is highly secret unless you can count.

Cornu-wotsit is quite of lot syllables in itself.

        • Michael Edwards

Ah but I saved an 'l' in sylables - now I've saved two - not sure what to do with them.

Good writing ) if we think we’re superior then we seem to be away from the truth .

Ultra sensitivity and a me-me-me culture are spoiling freedom of thought and expression. Thanks VB

            • Michael Edwards

These were written as a series of couplets and decided to put them together into a single piece - I'm now blown away by the positive comments - I am so grateful Arose123.
