Sincere Seeking

Tune: Angel voices

('Angel voices ever singing')

Psalm 27 v.8-14

*********

When you said, Lord, Seek you my face

My heart by your grace

I said unto you, Lord, your face

Will I seek, will trace

It, for it my satisfaction

You Lord, over each nation

Do not hide your face far from me

By faith may I see

It, and put not me your servant

Away, penitent

I be, in anger cast me not

Out of sight, thus good my lot

You have been my help, do not leave

Me, or I shall grieve

Nor forsake me, O God of my

Salvation, no lie

E'en if parents may me forsake

The Lord He will me uptake

Teach me, O Lord, your way, lead me

That I see clearly

Lead me in plain path, because my

Enemies are nigh

Save me from them, I had fainted

Lest I saw you me had led

I believed to see your goodness

In this land no less

It be the land of the living

Life you give each thing

Wait on the Lord, good courage take

He your heart shall strong it make
