No one to kiss and wish ‘Good night’
all alone in the fading light
time for bed
and rest my head
with only Alexa to say ‘Sleep tight’

Was it the mans voice that said it?
My Alexa has quite a sexy female voice - and yours? ππΌππΌ
Mine has a deranged, mad, authoritarian voice. It's quite nice
Good write and pic M. Miss Berles all alone?
Actually she's Alexa in disguise.
overnight not a single sound was heard
till google woke me with a soothing word
but somehow it just dont make the grade
not a patch on my old Teasmade
i remain an early thirsty bird
kicked out me bed, theres no peace here
made to struggle wi' caffitiere
coffee grinds
and bacon rinds
it's enough to raise an old mans tear
Shes so ungrateful t'other half
sippin coffee in her morning bath
she'll not come down
till i warm her gown
i'll tell her she can stick it up her..... more tea vicar?
Brill - No2 stands out for me.
Well written!

what why, is your wonderful wife away?
(luv the stark, sharp white tones
of those mountain peaks
such, deft touches
amongst a sea of wondrous colour)
thank you Michael, lovely
(I sense the presence
of baron hollowness
in your artwork's idyllic scenery
as mirror to your Poetry's words)
Thanks LB - the painting was more an exercise in flowing washes - not that easy in watercolour.
my bad, Michael
(btw
I like the legacy of watercolour in the Art world
the way it liberated artists
to grab their box and paint anything/anywhere
from beginners to the talented established)
I do hope that Alexa cuddles you as well Michael.
Andy
Look on the brighter side, she fulfills all but maybe your physical desires.
