Wild Winds - Forever Wayward

Rocky Lagou

Soft waves tiptoeing to the horizon,

With the poise of a ballerina.

Flowing by the wind’s motherly nudges.

Till the hook is visible in the midst of the abyss.

Slowly sinking into the darkness,

Gravitated to the seraph’s gills,

Latching onto it.

Till the divine ascension, a gradual reeling in.

A force of nature, ready to be reckoned with.

The imposing wings surfacing from the depths,

Arise with a majestic lift.

Whilst wild winds surge.

Forever wayward –

With the freeing sound of emerging from underwater.

Everything is resonant and clear.

Hear. Here.

Flapping off the world’s grips –

With the jangling sound of metallic,

Clickety-clacking away – forever.

As the gales swoosh forward.

Sunlike serenity enters the innards of the seraph,

Fluttering over the world with the force of a tornado.

Aiming at the target of daybreak with a bow and arrow.

Wild and wishful like the waters. Unearthed - but not discovered.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Hello!!! This is my LAST poem until about 2 and a half months (I'm going to be on a hiatus.) I just want to say that my heart is truly warmed to see how welcoming MPS has been to me, ever since my first post until now. I honestly never thought I would stay posting my poems on a site for so long, but the support from kindhearted and like-minded poets have been so encouraging and uplifting that I think I'm bound to make MPS my permanent abode, at least for now. Nonetheless, this poem summarizes who I am, I'm a free spirit and wild and adventurous and I wanted to create a poem that'll connect with other people who are the same way. This poem draws inspiration from my zodiac sign, Sagittarius, towards the end with the "bow and arrow," and is pretty much an epitome of being wild at heart: "unearthed, but not discovered." Much love to everyone. 💖🏹

Hello dear poet! Thanks abundantly for the constant support you've shown me throughout my poetic journey. I also draw inspiration from many MPS poets, and you are one of them. I hope this poem connected with you an ethereal way. I can't wait to come back and read all the splendors you've written. Have a wonderful Summer!

Thanks so so much Orchi! If it weren't for your hymns, and your quirky nature, I don't think I would've stayed on MPS for so long, hehe. Tell Fido I wish him a good Summer, and I hope you do the same. Continue writing your beautiful poetry, until August!

Hello dear Dean. It's honestly been so uplifiting and revitalizing to hear remarks from poets like you that strive to encourage others. I appreciate every single comment you've left on my poems, and I know that when I return from my "vacay" you'll have many poems waiting to be unraveled! I wish you a gorgeous Summer, and like you say, "Poet on" as well dear poet.

          Don’t go!

          • Rocky Lagou

Hehe, it'll be fine Waleed, it's only for Summer. I'll be real with you, I don't think I've met a poet who's as down-to-earth and firm in their capablities as a poet than you. Like the way you declare to be the "best poet of all time" is astonishing, and though some may find it "conceited" or whatever, I honestly really appreciate your boldness and audacity, I think it's poets like you that our generation needs. Hope you have a wonderfu Summer!

            • Ok Waleed

Thanks so much Tallis, you are honestly one of those poets that don't fail to pop up and make someone's day, so I truly thank you for always caring to drop by. I hope this poem spoke to you, and if you're adventorous and wild, then it might've had an even greater impact. It's all about revealing that hidden "wild spirit" within us and letting it roam wild. I'll be sure to do so Vamsi! Your poems carry a level of enlightenment and sagacity that I can't even put into words, so you're a poet who has truly inspired me on my poetic journey. I'm beyond grateful for you always being there to leave a reply and to encourage. And I hope that my muse will cooperate with me during the Summer so I can hopefully return with more poems. I also hope to see many more poems from you when I come back, and until then, have a marvelous Summer!

Only the wild are truly free whilst the sun shines and the moon sings.
                      Have a great break, Rocky.

                      • Rocky Lagou

Yes, yes, and yes Paul. Very real and relatable words. I feel like being a nomadic and free-wandering spirit is so fulfilling. It's like your alive to be free and wild. It's truly something extraordinary and I'm pleased beyond words to see you can also connect with that freedom. Thank you so much for your good wishes, and I can't wait to read more of your poems when I return. Thanks always for your support, have a wonderful Summer Paul!
