Well, it’s been a year
Since my last vacation
Where will I go?
Nowhere, I’m on a staycaytion
With much work to do
All around the house
No time for games
With a rambunctious mouse
Bushes to come out
And plants to go in
A few flowers for color
Nearly exhausting my adrenaline
And if that’s not enough
The turning of my green thumb
I’ll relocate the mailbox
For some added fun
Isn’t life grand
When you can take a break from work
Only to find yourself
Exercising a weeding fork
And guess what?
The lawn now needs to be cut
How lucky am I?
Grass always grows up
Oh, pray tell
The fun never ends
Have to power wash the house
The vinal siding to cleanse
And when all is said and done
I’ll sit on my front porch and smile
Then realize it’s time to go back to work
Guess the timeclock and I can reconcile

Good write AP.
Care to join me Orchi? Get your work gloves on. π
When work replaces workπ well at least we can call it a productive vacation!
And then some. π Thanks Judy
Work? Work? oh yes I remember work but it is few years ago now and being retired all those things that you have been doing on your holiday AP are there every day for me now. LOL
Andy
I've been working at home for 5 days now. Relocating a mailbox, pulling out bushes to plant new ones, creating a flower bed. So you're doing all these things everyday now? Where do you find the energy Andy? I'm exhausted and sunburnt. π
