I look back at my life,
My long, long life
Seeing the road that I travelled.
Its ups and downs stretching,
Stretching back so far,
And I know,
Know that I have had a good life,
With a wonderful family,
Good friends,
And a good working life.
That road had its odd dips
But each one I surmounted
And I can now sit here,
Sit here writing these words
With the love for life in my heart
And knowing that there is more,
There is more of my good life,
More of my good life to come,
As the road I am travelling stretches,
Stretches a long way ahead.

Yes, an extremely long road behind us tow, going back to the dinosaurs, and in front of us two. A blip in the road at 1066, when I turned up! lol.
So true Orchi and there is still a long road ahead.
Andy
Oh why could not that event have been obliterated from history - tear out the page in the book where I turned up?! It all went downhill from then on. lol
And may it continue a while longer.
I certainly hope so Blue.

"it's a long long road
with many a winding path
that leads us to who knows where
we'll get there" (Hollies-he aint heavy)
Wherever it is we'll get there... and I know that we are likeminded about it and will be thankful.
We certainly will d a and when we meet I'll buy you a pint.
Andy
Good write, Andy.
More in the rear view than the road ahead.
So true but I look ahead and cannot see the end of my road.
Andy
