When all is said and done

tallisman

When all is said and done

When there’s nothing left to say

We cannot stop what we’ve begun

We can only turn away

But what’s said cannot be redacted

Words can burn into your soul

How I wish I’d not reacted

I just lost control

I never meant to hurt you,

To say the things I said

Some things are inexcusable

Even angels would fear to tread

I’m here to apologise

But I know I can’t be forgiven

I can see the answer in your eyes

And my soul is riven

Good words Tallisman but we can get through these sad times and move on into a brighter future.

    a Brilliant! life-Affriming
    message
    full of humility's
    graceful, wisdom
    and
    utilised, empathy's
    'never-Too-Late'
    sincerity...
    thanks for sharing, dear Poet
