Leaky Day.

Goldfinch60

So what did we do yesterday?

We leaked all day!

It was so hot,

So very hot,

And what did we do,

We did nothing

But sit indoors.

The curtains and windows closed,

Closed to keep OUT the heat,

And we sat in front of a fan.

Not the most exciting of days

But if we went outside

We just baked.

It was slightly better in the evening

So we sat outside in the shade

A drink in our hands

And just sat with our love,

Our love shining to the world.

But still we leaked,

Leaked all over.

Such a hot day

Where we did nothing,

But our love pulled us through

As it will forever

No matter what life throws at us.

Good write Gold. Did it deter me singing?! lol.

Thanks Orchi, if you were singing in that heat you would have melted away.

I heart-warming reflection indeed sir .. I hear it happens as one gets older GF60 ... why not try using pads, failing that grab a sponge and go sit in the fridge ........ N 🙂 x

Thanks Neville, I start moaning when the temperature gets above 15 degrees, I much prefer the cold.

Don't just leak, Andy - while in front of that fan spay yourself with water, or in the absence of that a wet flannel, replenishing bowl of water by your side...
To be proactive in this situation is the go - don't spare the water!.

            • Goldfinch60

We were spraying ourselves, it worked but only for short times Dave. We did not spay ourselves though that may be painful. LOL

I feel you are in full control of the situation, Andy.
And after much careful research , I believe that spaying is one procedure which would not ease your current situation one whit - not to mention............
I have given my editor an ultimatum - these errors shall be eliminated or I will be forced to dispense with their services.

Exactly what happened to me and mine yesterday.. I love the piano piece adding some sentiment to the idea of everyone on planet earth yesterday melting like ice cream..

Lang Lang is a wonderful pianist, he puts his whole heart into what he is playing.

Loved your choice of music to accompany this poem. I feed the birds each day, but even they only seem to come out in the morning or evening, and I fear the hotter it gets the more they will suffer along with us all. But being housebound with one you love can make it all bearable. A good write my friend!

                    • Goldfinch60

Thank you Bella, being with the one you love is always wonderful no matter what circumstances surround you.
