Feelings drip like spilled milk...
The stone-faced reflection and the endless complexion.
All seams dispersing from the perfectly embroidered smile –
Nothing divine can save me now.
I was expecting a grander ending,
Like the one between Arachne and Athena.
I swallowed a pill of happiness...
But the aftertaste was revolting.
My two feet manage to take me to bed,
And I gaze at the Moon pretending...
To nurture me like a mother – to love me like a father.
With heavenly kisses...from the sky its sending.
I glance at the black widow - that abides in my bedroom,
That looks like a dead carnation –
Full-fledged in the nooks and crannies and debris.
It feels nothing and carelessly spins...
for it has consumed me.

- Comment from author about the poem: I honestly don't even know how I wrote this poem. I'm a little ambivalent towards it, it's kinda like a "love-hate relationship." My mind has just been feeling a little burned out recently, must be school or my personal struggles. But I hope this can connect with someone...somewhere.

I am sure that those dark moments will go away and the light that is in your life will flare up again Rocky.

Hi, thanks a bunch Andy. I do hope so, things have just been pretty bleak recently, but I have hope. Thanks abundantly for the kind wishes!
