She Is Poetry.

Goldfinch60

That love shines above us,

That sparkling light of love

Is there and ignites our passion.

The laughter we have

Brings us closer,

Closer each moment,

Each moment we are together.

Without that spark,

Without that laughter,

Love is empty.

I look at her beauty without,

I look at her beauty within

And write these words,

I am a poet,

But she is poetry.

I’ve had my say on love and poetry
      And feel my irritation is just fine;
So I’m here once more to do my duty…
But Andy ‘cos its you I’ll drop this line….

This is only because you don’t bang on about it all the time…🙂

      • Goldfinch60

Although love is the most important thing in life I do not 'bang on about it' as there is so much in life to talk about.
        Thank you Dave.

Too true, Andy. I wish I could find my escaped inspiration, instead of relying on you. You have inspiration in spades.

Dear Andy, This poem of love is so beautiful, and the last five lines just breathtaking. I saw La Boheme several years ago, and for me it contains some of the most beautiful operatic pieces ever written. You both must have been in heaven.

              • Goldfinch60

                Thank you Bella.

Yes we were in heaven, it was a terrific performance.

Literally so simple but so freaking POWERFUL!
Like those last two lines actually sent a jolt of emotion through me.
                  Love this Andy!!

                  • Goldfinch60

                    Thank you Rocky, much appreciated.
