In our lives we all get hit,
Get hit at times with bad things,
Bad things that pull us down,
Down into despair and sorrow.
Some of us stay there,
Stay in this grief stricken place
Where nothing is pleasing,
So sorrow rules their world.
I have been in this place
But did not stay there,
That is not my way.
I rallied and moved up,
Moved up to a place of joy,
A place of contentment in my life.
So why not follow me
Into the wonder of life,
The wonder of life that is around us.

Some who enter this life at rock bottom
Never have a thimble full of fortune,
With a future no better than Sodom.
Never the less, part of me does admire your optimism in the face of irrefutably bad news.... Take care of yourself.

I will follow you Goldfinch!!! I so can identify.. some things might bring me down at times but it is up to me to raise back up.. I chose not to stay in sorrow..
