Fishermen's Friends The Musical.

I’ve seen both the films

Enjoyed them very much.

I’ve heard the songs,

The chanties they sing,

And enjoyed them very much.

But I was just not prepared,

Prepared to see the live show.

It totally blew me away.

There was laughter,

There were tears

As they performed on stage.

I haven’t seen such a good musical

For as long as I care to remember.

I would see it again,

And again.

Such a wonderful group singing,

Singing, playing and acting

On this stage in front of me,

A joy to my life,

That will always be with me.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Mary and I went to see Fishermen's Friends the Musical yesterday. What a wonderful show. We would certainly see it again but could not get tickets as it was sold out for the rest of the week!

    Envy is a terrible thing;
I’ve got a large dose of it here -
    I need some consolation…..
And you don’t offer me a beer?

You are very lucky people - I love what the FFs give .

In the possibly vain hope you haven’t arrived there yet Andy, I give you Emmet’s Place. Here’s a sample:

I would willingly offer you a beer Dave but my arms are not long enough.

Just had a sample of Emmets Place and I will need to look further into that group, they are good.
