The True Value of Dreaming

The True Value of Dreaming

Dreams are but those stepping-stones

that form a temporary bridge

Between conscious here and now

and the subconscious where and when ..

Where blurring occurs between our

wishes, wants and needs ..

Yet where faith, hope, love and peace

still each unconditionally resides ..

I'm sure an essential truth is there fined down to a perfect definition, Nev - my (real) problem is that my dreams are truly so surreal that I am near certain no sense can be extracted from them.

I do so appreciate your disclosure DD a Freud of mine who was more of an expert in the field than me .. I'm just Gestalting by the way, that you may be too Jung to remember, once said Roberto Assagioli has the answer .. Cheers

😃I do try very (well fairly) hard not to provoke you, Neville…..but now look what you’ve made me do:
I have a (albeit brief and a fair old time ago) a nodding acquaintance with most of the cast there…. but must admit that Roberto Assagioliis was someone I had never met. Sussed out briefly from the usual sources and found myself a little queasy when a life spiritual and the soul entered the mix.
No matter, I ended up down the rabbit hole once more and found a labyrinth which led eventually to www.schoolofthought.org which while preoccupied on a totally different level (critical thinking) was simple, basic but worth the effort. (Further, Google 'school of thought' and all manner of interesting topics become evident....)

The word "unconditionally" resonates for me. I think that dreaming, be it nocturnal or day, is our way of finding perspective in our lives, blending what we know and what we hope for into some kind of meaningful existence. Such well chosen words my friend. Truly a fav.

              Couldn't agree more with this.
Dreams are the flames that engulf us into action.
