Not absent - still here!
Keep Calm and Carry On Poeming. 😂
It just happens I pass a doggie park,
During my walk to stay fit and healthy.
Let off leash these dogs are allowed to lark,
Sniff one another’s bums and pee quite free.
Young man and woman alone on the green:
They both in deep conversation I think;
Strangers, according to the space between.
Dogs ignore such conventions in a wink.
These dogs were out there and having great fun
as one gave the other a piggy-back.
Untroubled and free? Outcomes with this done?
Human guidance a conspicuous lack.
My return saw the couple’s space reduced,
While the dogs took advantage, no question;
And human reserve gradually unloosed
For perhaps a similar completion…….?
Conversation then contraception
Before copulation is a better way;
Then no regrets after consummation
for humans; ignore doggie’s fun today……

- Comment from author about the poem: I would have thought that by 2022/3 the simple proposition core to this piece above would have been universally sorted……. Please note: I have not designated this an18+ and will defend this position if anyone cares to challenge....

It can be that way Dave.
Andy
Not quite sure to what you refer, Andy.......
A 'C' word I must mention only in December is 'Christmas', or else Gold/Andy will shoot me! lol.
Your relationship with Gold/Andy appears to be such a Conspiratorial Con-job at times that I shall refrain from Comment.
However, we still have A Considerable problem here: Your Canine Co-worker has Conspicuously absented himself from Commentary, despite the fact that you Contract him to bark at the absence of an 18+ where one is Considered Controversial.
Will he Conscientiously resume his role as Commentator when I produce my next piece, A Concise Comment on the glories of Cunnilingus?
Your write so cleverly composed on the subject of matings is full of poetic rhyming that leaves me with a wry smile - - thanks Dave - - I love the dry wit in this tale of "unloosed copulation" - - great read.
Thanks Fay - as usual I had fun doing it - at least two or three afternoons passed very quickly. However it does have a serious purpose. I was prompted to think of this after I saw two extremely young teenage mothers with prams pass me by at an interval of about ten minutes while I waited for a bus (Bus came shortly after, so I'm not sure how many more there may have been.....).
Its a dogs life innit .. but I get your point sir .. 🙂
'Think so Nev - the consciousness of dogs (and other life forms) is always up for philosophical debate, but you can be pretty sure that perception of the future ain't............
Quite cool, charming and creative DD!
Hi PV - not quite sure it was meant to be cool and charming......... your comment is not ironical, perchance? Nah....couldn't be..... 🙂
Just using C words to describe me liking your write, DD.
Cor - got it after much Contemplation, PV.....
🙂
This was great fun to read my friend. Now "Lady and the Tramp" had it right. A spaghetti dinner, a candlelit table for two, romantic music and two pups sucking on opposite ends of the the same long strand, their eyes meeting demurely, in surprise. Would that it could work as well for humans. Unfortunately, reality is not part of the "Wonderful World of Disney". You make a very important point!
Thanks Bella - you've coloured in the important part of my little homily so richly. I 'm gratified someone gets it so completely.
When poets watch nature like trees and flowers,
This poet watches keenly the bums of dogs,
What an attitude and what a taste?
God alone must cure his dog-bum mind,
He is a disgrace to poetic community?
