Why Can’t We Always be Like This.

Goldfinch60

During the days when the snow was on the ground,

When we found we couldn’t drive,

And many people were walking,

As we passed in the street,

We found ourselves talking

To  each other, cheerfully.

This only happens when times appear troubled,

And people come out of the insular

Cocoon they wrap around their minds;

To stop them getting involved

In others troubled lives.

Does chaos bring us together?

It shows our true nature's GF. Break the conditioning and voila! A perfectly nice human being appears.

Oh, I met an anti-social guy (did I? lol).
I said 'Hello'? He said 'Hello? What do you mean Hello? What do you want? I will punch you on the nose for saying Hello'.
      Best avoid those types.
I made all that up! lol.

They are out there though Orchi.

I think that was in some film, or they used it as comedy in a show. If comedy on television, it was a VERY long time ago. Doh!

          Competition – an essential component
          Which artificially constructs a base,
Upon which a powerful proponent –
Ideology keeps us in our place.

That’s why, Andy. It is beyond belief that people suck up to it other than in circumstances you relate.

          • Goldfinch60

But why in hard times are people more willing to talk Dave?

Because the answer is in the first word in the first line above.
Sorry Andy - I'm going to take this one to he hoi polloi🙂 to see what they make of it....

              Brilliant!
(word distilling that most unhealthy element of modernity
where unity, is only deemed necessary
              in times of travesty..
time was, someone could make your day
              by offering a cheery 'mornin'
              or 'this darn'd weather we're havi'n'
              while passing-by or waiting
              at that terminal or station..
now, its eyes warding-off any approach
              assuming, everyone is a danger
              to what little, peace
              we're afforded in our lives
what a sad state, but hey
at least our pixel rates are getting ever more
life like, that heightened HD awareness
              from behind screens
our future generations, are sure to be safe...
              right?
I mean what could hurt us, behind
              our closed doors)

True words Mek, people can be polite and chatty when times are hard, why cannot it be like that all the time.

Yes a sad state of affairs that our connections with others have to meet chaos before we unbend - - a well-penned reminder my friend.

                • Goldfinch60

Thank you Fay, yes it is very true that chaos can cause wellness.

                  Ahhhh!!
Omg that final line was literally legendary.
                  "Does chaos bring us together?"
So true in so many ways.
Like what is romance without the drama and hardships?
I think "chaos" balances the serenity of life.

                  • Goldfinch60

Thank you Rocky, so true that chaos does balance the serenity of life.
