A Handful of Random Thoughts and a Sunflower
Don’t think about her form
think about water, pyramids and dolphins ..
Don’t think about her hunger
think about clouds, butterflies and poetry ..
Don’t think about her lovers
think about patience, charity and sunflowers ..

Good write Neville.

Ah those were the days eh ? Place and time brought beguilingly back with thoughts about who was there and why - - hope the patience was eventually rewarded my friend.........x
those were indeed the days .. thinking back is what some of us have left .. but what memories we made .. x
I think sometimes during tribulations and hardships one must search for the light despite the hard times.
"Butterflies and poetry" pretty much sums up how I do just that π
bless you Rocky, it's good to know you are in my corner my friend ...
Those times of yore when love was so new and so compelling Neville.
Andy
Yore absolutely write Andy .. N π
Your words evoke images, emotions and a sunflower pressed between the pages of a book for safe keeping. Delightful, charming, a lovely, sentimental piece dear friend.
I simply could not ask or wish for more Bella .. bless you & truly ... Neville
I love this whimsical write! Tis better to think on the positive than the negative for sure. Love it! x
Bless ya C .. you just made my day .. x
we seldom realise
how much history, walks into our life
mesmerised by that wink and smile
2023 and society's, scarlet badges
await to embarrass, stigmatise
those who choose to love bravely
different wording
a lot less, eye rolling
yet that archaic mindset, still exists
...
so yes indeed, wise poet:
'Donβt think about her lovers
think about patience, charity and sunflowers ..'
(this that part of your poetry
which champions humanity's
capacity for humane, empathy)
I read and learn Hyung
it seems we are singing from the self same hymn sheet .. thank you brother Mek
Neville- once again a beautiful work of art. Distraction, while beautiful, is only that, a distraction. At what point do we face the music? To what song do we dance?
thank you most kindly Joan & may I compliment you on your new avatar π
